Jon Henderson
Jon works as a
peripatetic string teacher in Cheshire
schools. He performs as a freelance
Violin / Viola player as well as being the leader of the
Salford Symphony Orchestra. He trained as a choral conductor with the
national choral organisation "Sing for Pleasure" and in 2004 won
the "John Coates Baton" as most promising student. Since
2000 Jon has been musical director of "The Grove Singers" a
mixed voice community choir based in Crewe
performing charity concerts and last year giving a Christmas Concert with
Fodens Brass Band. He also works with the children of the Cheshire Academy of
Performing arts as their singing tutor and MD for their shows.
Jon is a member
of the "Sine Nomine" International Touring Choir, who last year sang
at the Three Choirs Festival in Worcester.
He also sings "Lead Tenor" in a Barbershop Quartet.
Jon became musical
director of the “Romulus Singers” in September 2005.
